Ultimate Comics Wolverine: Legacies
by Javier Tartaglia, David Messina, Cullen Bunn, Ramon Rosanas, Gary Erskine, Gaetano Carlucci, Clayton Cowles, Joe Caramagna
Jesus, am I on a run of shitty books or what?
After a solid Uncanny X-Men volume and a great creator own series called Harrow County, I went into Ultimate Comics Wolverine with a little hope. It's about Jimmy, who I actually think is kind of cool. I like Wolverine having a kid who isn't like Draken. However, this story jumps from Wolverine's time as a asshole to Jimmy trying to find out more about who Wolverine is and maybe even have family members he never knew about.
Good: The art is pretty good? Also, Jimmy isn't a bad character but...
Bad: The story is beyond shitty here. I hated, hated, HATED the plot twist going on here. To have Quicksilver and Jimmy be related (Screw it, you aren't going to read this) is dumb as hell. The wolverine segments are boring and not really worth your time. Honestly, this whole book is kind of a waste of time.
This is pretty awful. Cullen Bunn is a very capable writer, but this isn't it. A 1 out of 5.
