I don't like cliffhangers.
In fact I consider some of them unforgivable.

A book ending with a scream and an "to be continued" infuriates me.
But from around the 10% mark I've been glued to the pages, at the edge of my seat, gripping the pages kind of deal. And considering the book is almost 700 pages and took me well over two days of almost non-stop reading this is saying a lot

It was an amazing book and I can't wait for the next one, but really? really? the scream? I should give you 1 star just for that. You could have done an nice and neat ending like 5 min before that.
