electraa 's review for:
The Illustrated Mum
by Jacqueline Wilson
I wanted to revisit this books that was engraved in my memory as a very strong and emotional read somewhere in my teenage years.
And now I remember more distinctly why.
Harsh subjects are being brought up yet in a natural and easy way to digest without dumb-ing them down which i now recognise that only a good writer can do.
This must have been the first of Jacqueline Wilson I ever read and having not read the famous Tracy Baker one I am excited to give it a go.
In my opinion, this is a must read.
