Absolutely beautiful novel. Such an amazing tale of love, heartbreak, and how to survive in the most difficult of times. It is important for more books like this to be read, to understand the struggles of humanity's past, but also to see how history is doomed to repeat itself by those who do not read. The point in case would be Benjamin Netanyahu's modern day genocide, reading this makes me think as we see the IDF murdering men, women, and children daily and with smiles on their faces. Disgusting shame.
