The Train to Impossible Places
by P.G. Bell
This was another story in my pile of Middle Grade books that I planned to read this year.
While I gave this book 3 stars; I would be willing to wager that for the intended audience, the rating might be higher.
For me, I think that the story was overall slow and jumbled, with a rushed ending that provided resolution but not enough. The characters were cute and the story was a fun idea, but again - I’m not trying to sound like a broken record - it was just a bit slow and not for me.
I believe that this is intended to be a series and I don’t think that I’ll continue - but if you have fans of The Polar Express at home, or fans of books that take you to a new world with magical and funny creatures, this might be a good option for them.
