Next Year in Havana

This book slowly unravels and slowly wraps up. It's not a mindless read. Lots of Cuban history and even more dialogue to get, sometimes slog, through. The themes of sacrifice, passion, and survival run deep and can provoke a level of introspection that isn't reached my many novels.
