This volume showed the true depths the Guardians will go to accomplish their end goals. Guy and John are both shown as admiral soldiers who are dealing with a war they're not even sure they're in. Guy was much more admirable this volume as he was more hot-headed than annoying. The Alpha Lanterns were always an interesting idea that never panned out. This is a good solution to that. I really love where this title is going. The art was fantastic. Overall, a very good read that sets up so more.
