Oooofda. I don't even know how to put into words how this book made me feel. Jake is sweet and nerdy (my favorite book boyfriend type) and I'm borderline obsessed with him. And then there's Naya. My heart and soul could just feel all of her pain and struggles throughout the book. She is such a wonderful character who learns to see her true strength and realize her worth. I've had some of the conversations found within these pages, and the realness for how Denise Williams wrote them struck a chord deep within. Women are beautiful and strong, and Denise shows us that with her novels. We are not our traumas, but our experiences may shape how we act. We all just need a support system to help us turn our volume back up. <3
