The Swede
by Maureen Smith
The Good
The chemistry here is dangerously good. Usually I don't like insta-lust/insta-live type stories but this didn't feel like that, it felt like a real connection between them with great flirting and conversations. The conversations flowed well and felt like them really learning about each other and building that connection. They got together so quickly I wondered how this book would be 600+ pages but I really loved how we get more than just their love story and get their actual relationship. Scarlet and Viggo both have their own personal traumas, friends, jobs, and worries that we see play-out in the story that make them feel like complex real people.
The Bad
I do wish that in their arguments that the resolutions felt better resolved. They always made up but I wish they had more real and serious conversations about their issues.
