This is a prequel novella that lets us peek into the lives of several teenagers whom I assume we will get to know better in the first book of the series.

It takes place during a party at the beginning of summer. A group of friends have a night where choices are made and I'm unsure as of yet what consequences those choices will have.

Personally, I prefer to read the prequels prior to the series in order to read things chronologically. This novella hooked me though and I will be moving on to book one!
