Ward D
by Freida McFadden
This is the 3rd book in my traveling book club book with my co workers. One of my other co-workers also picked a Freida book. I think I may have liked this one a smidge more than The Housewife?
I love a thriller that takes place in a short amount of time in this case 12 hours.
Is the premise of this book a little far fetched? Yes
Did I still eat this up? Also yes
I thankfully have never been in a inpatient mental hospital or know anyone who has to know what it really is like in one and yet I found some of it definitely not to be believable. Even with Amy being a med student on rotation, I can't imagine students opening up to patients as she had with those in the ward that night. Despite that I still found myself drawn to the story and wanting to know what was real and not. Some stuff I had kind of predicted but others I did not. I paired this with the audio and it definitely helped make the pages go by quick.
