Eleanor & Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry
3.0

Overall, this book was just okay. Part 1 was well written and well paced. Eleanor and Grey are both high school seniors who aren’t in a relationship, but are companions through hard times. Over the course of their relationship they fall in love and eventually drift apart. 15 years later Elle is hired as Grey’s children’s nanny.

Part 2 of the book is too fast paced. The development of the relationship between Elle and Grey after the passing of this wife goes from zero to sixty way too fast. For the first half of the Part 2 Grey is a depressed father who is over working to avoid feeling the pain of his wife death. It only takes one real conversation for him to change and want to be in a romantic relationship with Elle.

The children’s personality are find, but nothing in the novel is very in depth. Despite the book being over 350 pages, the book feels like it’s only 200 pages. The story was fine for a quick and easy read, but nothing outstanding.
