I was kindly gifted a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
This poetry collection gave me very similar feels and vibes to I’m Glad my Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy in that it dealt with a lot of the same themes and parent/child relationship experiences. I can see this collection being very relatable for people who have ever felt alone, left out or unseen.
For me the most powerful poems were “disappear” and “my heart believes.” Depending on your life experiences you may find another poem more relatable.
I’m excited to read more poetry from this author. They have a very raw, vulnerable writing style that made this a very worthwhile read.
