I loved listening to this audiobook book about Maverick, the father from The Hate U Give. This story illustrates how hard it is to be the person you want to be, especially when so many forces are against you. I also like that people call Maverick out when he needs to be. No one is perfect in this book, but everyone is real, and there is great compassion.
