I had been avoiding this book because I had seen some lukewarm reviews, but I needed something to read while waiting for an appointment, so I picked it up. I ended up reading it all in one day and can see why it disappointed people even though I really enjoyed it! It looks and is kind of marketed as a romance, but I would say it is more part of the “woman doing something and learning about themselves” genre, with a side of romance. It also addresses a really hard topic that I’ve never really seen addressed in fiction like this.
