I feel sad and disappointed. I freaking LOVE The Never Tilting World so much! The sequel is one of my most anticipated reads. I wasn't going in expecting The Bone Witch to be the same book and I assumed Wicked As You Wish was just "not for me" or a book I should read when I'm in a different mood but...I'm starting to think Chupeco's books just aren't for me and The Never Tilting World is the exception.

I didn't hate this but it just didn't...do anything for me. It was okay but not something I'd go buy or reread or finish the series of.

I tried to separate the story from the audiobook narrator I was reading along with (side note: that narrator gets far too many of the books I want to read! Why?!) because I cannot stand her voice and how she makes every female character sound like a timid damsel in distress.
