I just...ugh. I wanted to love this SO MUCH. To me, it reminded me of The Goldfinch, but you all know how much I love the Goldfinch. This doesn’t even compare in the instance of losing a parent (or parents) and the narrative that comes after.

The relationship between Edward and Shay seemed too far fetched because no matter what, no one makes friends that quick as a 12 year old. No one.

I would be willing to read another Ann Napolitano book though. I enjoyed her writing, just not the plot.
