Whilst I loved the prose and atmosphere set within this audiobook, as well as the initial premise I found this incredibly tricky to follow along and enjoy.
Though I did enjoy the character of Ada, I found her incredibly tricky to follow in term of development as the plot just seems to jump around a lot between cures.
I am not sure whether the plot would have been easier for me to make out within the writing style had I read as a physical book over an audio book - but just felt like I didn’t know much more about the characters or plot progression anymore than I did in the first few pages.
Sadly not a book I would recommend even though I did like the initial premise and atmospheric writing - just felt like the plot direction was too unclear to follow and left me feeling really lost.
