Ok, let's be honest---I didn't hate this book, but there is just so much I didn't like about it that I couldn't even give it two stars. The ending is not satisfying, our main character is selfish, never fully apologizes for how she treats everyone, and this book does not make the point it was trying to make. 

Plus, the pageant doesn't even take up much of the book--Willodean is barely interested in it until the last hour (audiobook) or so. BLEGH
