OMG I see what all the hype was about! I cannot believe it took me this long to read it, because it was everything I could have ever hoped for! The entire story is absolutely amazing. From Alex and Henry's love story, to the supporting characters, to the election and the first female president, to tackling homophobia and overcoming obstacles and the TROPES (enemies to lovers done so well) - it was all just so perfect. And all of this as her debut novel?! I'm so impressed.

So many highlights for me:
-Alex and Henry's chemistry
-The banter
-The humor (I laughed out loud at several parts)
-The pop culture references
-The supporting characters (I fell in love with Nora, June, Pez and Bea, I mean???)
-The election and the fight for a second term
-Ellen unwaveringly supporting Alex, even at potential cost to her career
-The spice was just right
-Shaan and Zahra actually being together was such a great twist??? And their relationship was so funny
-Well written
-Tackling homophobia and defying odds and being yourself no matter what
-The emails *cries*
-Enemies to lovers
-RAFAEL LUNA!!!

I could go on and on. This was amazing and will be a high recommendation for me. I will read anything and everything Casey McQuiston writes ALWAYS.
