Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice
5.0

Moon of Crusted Snow is suspenseful and eerie. I liked how it spoke of giving back to the land that also gives to you (burying is the tobacco when Evan kills the moose). The tie in with retaining native culture was also beautiful. It scares me to think of how connected we are to technology and modern conveniences. If this happened, I fear it would be worse than what happened in this book. I really enjoyed this book for what it was, but I would not have minded for some more action. I can think of some fun stuff to add. Check out my Youtube for more info.
