This is everything I had hoped for when I heard that Christopher Paolini was writing a sci-fi novel. The world building is amazing and I love how the aliens aren't your usual green-skinned aliens with big black eyes. I even found myself liking the aliens more than some of the humans. I'm so glad I got an ARC through work, and I cannot wait for the actual release so I can have the gorgeous hardcover copy on my shelves.
