I liked this book overall. There was some darker themes and content, but I think it was handled very well. I loved the exploration of sisterhood and friendship. The world building and magic system were really interesting. I wasn't a huge fan of the romance. It think the book would have been a bit better without it. I am definitely looking forward to the next installment in the series.
