The Cousins by Karen M. McManus
4.0

The Story children have been cut off by their mother for doing something they don’t know what they did. About twenty-four years later, the Story grandchildren receive a letter inviting them to Gull Cove Island for the summer to work and to meet their grandmother. Their parents are more than willing to let their kids go since they could be re-inherited. The children as cousins do not know each other. When they meet together on the island they learn some fishy things and want to get down to why their parents were cut off and what did they do.
This book really isn’t a thriller, but more of a mystery. I loved the twists and it kept me wanting to know why they were disinherited and what they did. I did like the past point of views from Allison as well. I do think the last twist was not plausible and does not make sense because it is kind of impossible to pull off. You will know what I’m hinting out if you read the book. I still think it was good and entertaining.
