Harold and the Purple Crayon tells the story of Harold, a little boy who is getting ready for bed. The story follows all the fun things that Harold draws with his purple crayon to create the world he lives in.

I really enjoyed this book. I like how there's not much going on with the actual illustrations in the book, however there's so much creativity with what is actually shown on the page. This book would make for a fun, interactive read aloud for preschool aged kids. There are a lot of places where it would be easy to allow the child to help tell the story.
