daniellegorman 's review for:
Verity
by Colleen Hoover
sure, okay....
i'm conflicted. for 85% of this book, i thought it was pretty solid. mostly, i was addicted to the pacing. but then we get to the final chapters. and then the twist happens. and then the book ends.
and now i'm gripping my hair at the roots, wondering what the heck was the point lol.
anyways, it was ok. the twist just felt more shock value to me than an actual decent reveal (but this could just be me).
also, everyone was like "don't read this at night! it's so scary" but turns out the horror was just incredibly triggering material that made me want to vomit... so i didn't love that
