Painted Hands
by Jennifer Zobair
This story follows several story lines that are interwoven throughout the book. It's pretty heavy on romantic relationships, but there's a purpose to each. Zobair uses these relationships so show the many issues facing the children of immigrants as they struggle to balance the tradition of their faith and culture after being raised in America. Each character struggles with these issues differently, which allows the author to cover many types of issues. All struggle with balancing a career with family, but they go about it in different ways. The book does a great job showcasing these struggles without judging one as better than another.
