Haunted Magpie
by Anna Nicholas
• r e c o m m e n d a t i o n •
When I chanced upon The Devil's Horn last year, I was left agape because of Anna's brilliant manner of executing a crime mystery novel with flourish. I immediately had a conversation with her enquiring about her next novel if at all there'll be one. A year later, she sent me a signed copy of Haunted Magpie and I was ecstatic, knowing fully well that she'll again lure me into her beautiful world of Mallorca. There are quite a few ways in which her books are unique from other crime mysteries and the first difference is the protagonist herself. She's witty, chirpy and one who walks with well adjusted boundaries. There's nothing that I do not like about Isabel Flores and through Haunted Magpie she proves once again why I enjoyed her role in the previous novel. If you are a fan of thrillers sprinkled with good humour and an abundance of food references, you must read the works of @annanicholasauthor
