This was another enjoyable, funny, light hearted read by Jillian Hunter. Heath and Julia begin the book with an accidental shooting. Heath's injury bring them together and they are almost compromised. Heath then leaves to go to war and Julia marries another man and lives in India for three years.

The book picks up upon Julia's return to England, where she becomes betrothed to Heath's friend and commander. Heath is asked to guard and protect Julia while her fiance goes to France to chase down a nemesis.

I thought this book would really bother me, with Heath put in a position of protecting Julia, where I was assuming he would betray his commander and friend (Julia's betrothed) because, well, he is the hero of the book. However, I thought it was pretty well done, giving you some scenes where you knew the marriage was not going to work out. Still, just not my favorite set up there.

The book was a little repetitive. Nothing that really drew me in and made me not want to stop reading it. The character development was a bit better than book 2, but I think book 2 was steamier. But still some quite funny scenes. I enjoy Hunter's humor. The next book is The Wicked Games of a Gentleman, Drake Boscastle's story. I actually read this one last summer but didn't write a review and can't remember much about it so I'm going to reread :)
