This book is very long. It is the story of the Gaines kids’ trials and tribulations in building a garden. The lesson is never give up and to try new things. Just because you failed once doesn’t mean you will only fail.  You only fail if you don’t try. The book is fine. There’s nothing wrong with it. The illustrations are also fine. But it’s not one I think would get checked out frequently, especially by people who don’t recognize the name.
