The Companion
by Katie Alender
I was expecting this to be a creepy book and it may have started out that way, but I felt myself that it didn't stay that way.
Margot becomes an orphan when her whole family is lost in a car accident. She is taken in by the Sutton's to become a companion to their daughter Agatha. But Agatha doesn't do much at all besides sit at her window and stare out at the world.. Her mind is not there.
It soon becomes apparent that things aren't right in the house and it takes some very terrifying things happening for Maggie to start questioning everything.
I knew where the book was headed as I had guessed at what was going on but it was still quite enjoyable.
