Through the Woods
by E.M. Carroll
what the heck! that was surprisingly so good?
I didn't expect it to be this dark and scary, I didn't even expect it to be a graphic novel, even. I saw a book, it had an amazing cover and I picked it up. In this case, Through the Woods did not disappoint me even though I had no idea what it was about. As an artist, I really appreciate graphic novels with simple but beautiful illustration such as the one you can find in this book. The story, though short, will give you chills. Honestly, I love this so much give me more (and i do not say this lightly because i'm not usually into short stories but damn these are good). 5/5!
But the worst kind of monster was the burrowing kind. The sort that crawled into you and made a home there. The sort you couldn't name, the sort you couldn't see. The monster that ate you alive from the inside out.
