The Plan
by Karla Sorensen
I wasn't sure what if I would like this book because I haven't read anything by this author. But you give me the bodyguard trope and I'm going to read the crap out of that book. THIS HAS IT ALL. This book features grumpy/sunshine, bodyguard, fake dating, age gap, sports romance and so much more. I loved the chemistry between Lydia and Erik. It was palpable and obvious from the start, and the sexual tension was off the charts. The payoff when they finally got together was so worth it. I loved all of the sports references and just how much Lydia loved the world of sports and the insight we got into Lydia being a woman in the sports world and how people, often men, usually doubted her but how she really rose above and proved herself time and time again. Erik was just so broken and hurt, and Lydia's light and love really changed Erik and made him into a better persona and loved that so much. I also loved that Erik adored Lydia for her brain and personality, and not just her good looks and money. They were literally made for each other and their story was just so beautiful and heartwarming. The epilogue was just so perfect. This one is worth checking out!
