where do i even begin …
- the majority of this book was fairly boring and the last hour of the audio was insanely rushed and packed
- the romance is such a minor part of the actual story but is somehow still rushed and felt very forced. i was told about their chemistry rather than shown it
- the margaret plot didn’t really give me much either … so in the middle i wasn’t even sure what the book was about
- suffers from the classic case of does too much yet not enough
- last four words are the title. unacceptable even from emhen
- the letter? read aloud? cheap writing
- did not feel connected to any of the characters
- i did like the setting and think that the build out of margarets family was interesting
- there were a few character things or plot bits that felt veryyy similar to other books (beach read and book lovers mainly)
- what was the point of theo
overall it was kind of a snooze and then it was INSANE and then it was over. marketing this as a romance is not fair to readers or the story (but also somehow this is her hottest book when it comes to the physical relationship? can’t make it make sense.)
