!I think it is important to read this book in tandem with book 6, several reading guides are available online!

First of all, you have to know that I read book 5 in tandem with book 6, following several reviews that advised you to do so if you didn't want to finish book 5 and then feel like burning the whole saga in your fireplace. That's what I did (reading in tandem, not burning the entire series) and oh my god, I was right!

If you've read my reviews of books 1,2,3 and 4, you know that I'm not a huge fan of Aelin. So frankly, if I would have read this book in its entirety, I would have died of boredom with it. Fortunately, the book is full of other much more interesting characters (Dorian & Manon??? 10/10 - Lorcan & Elide??? 10/10 - Aideon? 10/10 - Rowan??? 20/10) and jumping from this plot to ToD and my baby Chaol & co (Tower of Dawn review coming soon) made the journey much more intriguing, enjoyable and interesting.

If the first two thirds of the book left me unsure, the last part left me so much on the edge of my seat that I can only applaud upon finishing this book.

I am shaking at the thought of starting the last book and thus ending this series, which, I can say, has really grown on me and won my love with each book.

D'abord, il faut savoir que j'ai lu ce tome 5 en tandem avec le tome 6, suite à plusieurs chroniques et avis lus par-ci, par-là qui conseillaient de faire ainsi si on ne voulait pas terminer le tome 5 en ensuite avoir envie de brûler la saga entière dans sa cheminée. C'est ce que j'ai fait (la lecture en tandem, pas l'autodafé) et oh mon dieu que j'ai bien fait !

Si vous avez lu mes chroniques des tomes 1,2,3 et 4, vous savez que je ne suis pas une grande fan d'Aelin. Alors franchement, si j'avais dû lire ce livre en entier, je serais morte d'ennui devant ses passages. Heureusement, le livre est pleins d'autres personnages bien plus intéressants (Dorian & Manon??? 10/10 - Lorcan & Elide??? 10/10 - Aideon?? 10/10 - Rowan??? 20/10) et le fait de sauter de cette intrigue à ToD et mes bébés Chaol & cie (chronique de Tower of Dawn à venir) a rendu le voyage bien plus intriguant, plaisant et agréable.

Si les deux premiers tiers du roman m'ont laissée hésitante, la dernière partie m'a tellement laissée sur le carreau que je ne peux qu'applaudir en terminant ce bouquin.

Je tremble à l'idée de commencer le dernier tome et d'ainsi terminer cette saga qui, je peux le dire, a vraiment gagné mon estime et mon amour avec chaque roman.
