This was a great book: I laughed, teared up at a couple of points, and really felt the teen angst down in my soul for some reason. It is a same sex retelling of Grease in some ways, as the two boys meet on summer holidays at the lake and then one is too cool (and still closested at home/school) to let folks know they know each other when the second ends up moving to town and is at school in the fall. They had basically fallen in love over summer but now Ollie not only has to figure out living in a new town for senior year (which they are doing because his aunt is very sick and they want to be around to help his uncle with his younger cousins), he also has to hide his feelings (both the lingering romantic ones and the hurt and anger from Will putting on this totally different personality and ignoring him). I liked the nods to Grease, like the three girls Ollie grows close with having a rose gold pendant necklace that denotes their friend group (Pink Ladies, anyone?), etc.
