So, so creepy. It blends magical realism, psychological thriller, and ghost story into one. I loved ghost story books, especially during Halloween. The book really got a little spooky at some points, but definitely could have been more “scary.”
There are so many twists and turns throughout the book, and the ending is so surprising. I tried guessing, but my theory was so off. It is pretty fast paced, so I finished it pretty quick.
It does touch on grief a lot, and I liked how the author developed the main character. Overall, really enjoyed this book. Solid pick for October.
