Okay first of all I got say that cover model ain’t got nothing on Lance.
Second of all, HELENA HUNTING IS THE ABSOLUTE QUEEN OF EPILOGUES. SHE KILLS IT EVERY TIME. I love it. I am in fact a hoe for a good epilogue (or just any in general tbh)
I love Lance and Poppy. Not as much as I loved Randy and Lily but they hold a completely different spark too.
I think it is so important to show emotional and domestic abuse being done to men as well as women and so for that reason this book is really important I think.
Lance is this blessed, vulnerable boy and I adore seeing how he overcomes his past traumas and let’s himself be open and honest with Poppy.
Poppy seems like the sweetest girl and is perfect for Lance and his healing journal.
I’d say the steam levels were still there for sure but definitely more innocent in comparison to some of the other companion novels. I’d put it at a 15 uk movie rating rather than an 18, but it works really well with the story and I was not disappointed.
Also i’d just like to say again how great that epilogue was.
Love this series
TWs⚠️:
Emotional abuse
Domestic abuse
Child abuse
Anger issues
