Wow! This book is a lot. It’s heart wrenching and a little bit disturbing and kind of beautiful.
Like all of Kate’s books, it’s heavy but dealt with a lightness you come to expect.
Lucas is so beautifully broken.
Mila is so strong.
Together it’s beautifully heart wrenching.
I have to admit though, I did find it a bit hard to follow at times with the time shifts. Sometimes they’re not labeled and it’s a little bit difficult to figure out if it’s then or now. But, it’s a small complaint.
