This books was really good. It was funny and entertaining. You know a book is well written when you know exactly what's going to happen but you still feel the suspense and thrills that a new reader would have.

All the elements in this book really worked for me. Rowling knows how to set up and execute a good mystery, all the red herrings and clues were done very well.

Rowling we all know us very good at executing good world building. She expands her world so naturally bringing in elements like how mandrakes mature like humans or giant spiders named Aragog making her world rich with so many interesting aspects to it.

One big difference between the books and the movies that I noticed was I felt I liked Harry much more as a protagonist in the books compared to the movies. It's not that I didn't like movie Harry but his bravery and determination seem to be more in the spotlight in this book.

He fought a basilisk and stabbed it in the mouth to save Ginny.

Stuff like that highlights how awesome Harry is a person

Am I the only one who tbought Ginny caught Percy masturbating because it really seemed like that was what it was.

Overall I really liked this book. It was such a well done book and makes me look forward to the next book in the series
