City of Ghosts
by V.E. Schwab
So I feel kind of conflicted. On one hand I love story and the characters, and the other I’m weary about it.
This novel follow a girl named Cassidy Blake as she deals with ghosts, while her parents are making a paranormal TV show, alongside her best friend Jacob.
I enjoyed the characters, but at times they felt flat and ‘not like other girls’/ guys to me. The plot was fun, and I’m glad Victoria Shcwab wrote it in middle grade form.
This is my first book of hers, and while I can’t say I loved it, I’d definitely read more from her (since I enjoy her writing style)
