If I had my choice of guests at a dinner party full of dead authors, H P Lovecraft would be sitting at my right hand and I'd be shushing everyone else. So I was pretty excited to find that this book took two descendants of Lovecraftian lore and stuck them in the middle of some mind-bending fuckery. It was spooky and twisted and fresh. The pacing was solid and the characters were interesting (though for christ's sake can we lay off the attempted rape plot scheme, it's ridiculous) and there wasn't any forced romance to get in the way of the story. Would recommend to any fans of Lovecraft.
