Haru' reminded me of Frodo and Sam's journey to Mordor. It was beautifully illustrated, but sometimes the storyline was hard to follow. When reading middle grade graphic novels I'm always surprised with how dark the storyline can be. Kids will fall in love with Haru and Yama as they tackle bullies, find new friends, and head out on new adventures.
