Bramble and Blood
by Ashley Beasley
Eve Williams, and her universe is unique and fresh.
Book 1 features only Eve's perspective, and much to my surprise, the 2nd book features snippets of someone else. I won't name them due to spoilers, normally I don't like that. I first saw it and.. kinda groaned. But it was good. It was so, so, so good.
I love the necromancy, I love how it works, I love how annoying the entire book 1 was about how cold the winter was. But that's realistic isn't it? Who doesn't bitch and moan every time they leave the house during the winter?
There is few books out there that keeps on surprising me with new twists. This series didn't go where I thought it would. And still, with 3 books out, there is still questions I haven't gotten answered. Very rarely do I have a character, a world, a setting, where I'm curious and wondering wtf is actually going on.
