i enjoyed most of this book but really disliked the ending and where the author took this entire story and series with that.
it was a typical maas books in most aspects from writing style to characters to „plot“ and the sprinkled in action and fighting scenes and it all ending in this huge climax fight scene that always end similar to all her recently published book.
so if you want something different?
not going to find this here.
but if you enjoy the typical maas book and just want a bit of a new twist instead of just reading something by her?
go for it.
i personally -as already mentioned- really enjoyed 3/4 of the book. i liked the characters and the story.
but i hate this trope Maas finished the book with and honestly that’s kind of ruined the entire experience of reading the book and the entire series as a whole for me?
depending on if you like the used trope or not? that’s how you will enjoy the book.
the trope of you want to spoil yourself to know if you want to read it or just have the first book ad a standalone?
the trope is connecting all her books together so that at this point to continue on with her series you will have to read everything else by her especially the court of series.
