I read this as a junior in high school. Or, rather, I read part of it and then stopped because I was so bored. I will reread this one day, and I feel my opinion will be much different than it once was. I don't think I was ready for this novel in high school. Or maybe my teacher was terrible and did little to help those struggling (with content and/or engagement).
