I’m a sucker for an enemies to lovers trope, but this felt so forced to me. It had its moments of cuteness and being funny, but something felt like it was missing from the book. I wish I felt more connected with the characters as well.
Lina was dumped on her wedding day by Andrew, but Andrew wasn’t actually there to do the dumping, he actually had Max, his brother dump Lina for him. Hence why Max is the Worst Best Man ever. Fast forward three years later, Lina is excelling as a wedding planner and is offered a shot at a dream job in a hotel as a wedding planner. The only problem is, she runs into Andrew and Max since they work on the account. Lina pretends to not know them and vice versa. Lina is forced to work with Max. Can she forgive him? Will there be sparks? Will she get the job?
