informative sad slow-paced

Okay so I am not a fan of his, but a lot of people I am a fan of liked this book. It was fine. It had a few good parts. It was really hard to get past him being in thrall to the bush administration, still ,after all these years. The example he used from the tsunami was horrifying and completely lacked an understanding of grief or compassion. Also his "We shouldn't assign monolithic labels" thing apparently only goes one way, this is somehow terribly unfair to conservative voters but he can do it all he wants to other people.
I think the book could've concluded with the first half and been okay. The second half was a lot of me thinking "you sure you don't wanna just go to therapy rather than write a book?"
