Defy the Night
by Brigid Kemmerer
adventurous
challenging
medium-paced
Ok, I'm utterly obsessed with this! Brigid sure knows how to build a world. The main characters are awesome. I figured out something big really quick and I loved that I was right. I can't say anymore than that.
Tessa. She is so great. She is the true hero of this story in my eyes. (Along with Wes, her partner in crime) The beginning of her outlaw journey is sad but it made her become the strong girl she is. It made her so compassionate for the dying people of her world. This fever that seems to take so many and people become desperate to get the medicine they need to be cured.
King Harriston and Prince Corrick are such interesting men. The way they seem to want the same things but not in the same way. I love both of their arcs and their journeys...
Especially the King towards the end.
I'm so excited for the next book, September can't come fast enough!
