Ann M. Martin and Laura Godwin have done it again! And this time, blessed by Brian Selznick's lovely images again, the book was to par with The Doll People. Unlike the sequel - The Meanest Doll in the World - that I listened to and couldn't find the same amusement with, The Runaway Dolls was enchanting and adventurous. I dread finishing their work with the last and final book, but this will be a series I always remember fondly. With illustrations and amazing literary weaving, The Runaway Dolls is a 5 star read for all ages!
